New Incredibuild Version 5.0 Supports Visual Studio 2013, Team Foundation Server and Windows 8.1

Tel Aviv, Israel – December 10, 2013 – Incredibuild version 5.0 further accelerates the entire Microsoft Development environment, with support of Visual Studio 2013, Windows 8.1, MS Test, and Microsoft Team Foundation Server. The new version increases performance across all application life cycle management (ALM) and continuous integration (CI) tasks. It also accelerates all code builds done in C# and GnuMake and supports Xbox One’s latest SDKs.

“Many Incredibuild users develop within Microsoft environments,” says Eyal Maor, CEO of Incredibuild. “We’re here to make their jobs easier and their projects go faster.”

Performance is increased across the board with Incredibuild because it accelerates all aspects of CI and ALM, from code builds to packaging. Incredibuild does much more than compilation acceleration; it run processes such as conversion, rendering, shading, and transformation as well as  accelerating commercial and in-house software that performs QA scripts, code analysis, regression, and unit testing.

The basis of Incredibuild is process virtualization, which enables CI and ALM tasks to run  in parallel across underutilized or unused CPUs and GPUs across the entire network. Version 5.0 is even faster, as the parallelization of specific tasks has been streamlined. Hundreds of computers across the network or within private, public, or hybrid clouds can be recruited to participate in a single process, dramatically reducing the time to completion.

“Developers spend a lot of time sitting on their hands as they wait for code builds and other processes to complete or have to rollback their tasks to correct errors,” continued Maor. “With Incredibuild, developers can streamline their processes, reclaiming that time to invest it in creative code building.”
